South Korea : The return of Chablis Wines

 

The South Korean economy showed signs of recovery. The younger generation increasingly favors white wines, particularly those made from Chardonnay. Bourgogne white wines are benefiting from this trend, with export volumes rising by 28% over the first 11 months of 2024.

 

Chablis wines are performing even better, with shipment volumes up by 31% over the first 11 months of 2024 (vs. 11 months 2023). Revenue from Chablis wines has reached a new record of nearly €3.2 million, marking a 29% increase over the first 11 months of 2024 (vs. 11 months 2023).

 

One-third of exported Bourgogne white wines are from Chablis.
