La Cité des Vins et des Climats de Bourgogne is projected to include sites in three different and complementary places that share in Bourgogne’s wine culture: Chablis, Beaune, and Mâcon.  The work got underway on March 12, 2021, with a groundbreaking ceremony for La Cité des Vins in Beaune.

La Cité des Vins in Chablis will be built on the historic site of the Cellier du Petit Pontigny. Work should get underway this summer, with the opening expected in summer 2022. The new complex will occupy almost 1000 square meters. Its attractions will include getting to know the world of Chablis, Grand Auxerrois, and Châtillonnais wines, as well as an introduction to vinification and the secrets of terroir by means of multi-sensory activities and walks.
