UNIQUE EXPERTISE HANDED DOWN FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION

In this region where winegrowing has existed for several centuries, knowledge has been passed on down the ages, from generation to generation. Certain wineries are run by the 12th, 13th, or even 14th generation of winemakers.

The generation that is taking up the challenge today has benefitted from better training and has often traveled, resulting in a blend of tradition and modernity.

The Chablis wine region comprises more than 300 estates, as well as one cooperative cellar which represents a quarter of the region's producers. Among wine merchants, the 15 leading companies account for three quarters of trade transactions.
