Alexandre Gautherin officially opens his vine and wine museum in Chablis

The museum is an invitation to discover the viticultural heritage of Chablis. It highlights the savoir-faire and the characteristic objects that figure in wine-making, and provides an opportunity to appreciate the evolution of viticultural practices.

Set up in a building of 700m², the museum takes its visitors on a trip into the past that lies at the heart of the Chablis wine traditions, such as a collection of the Saint Vincent Tournante glasses since 1983. We discover in turn a grafting workshop, models of the different Chablis soil structures, expositions of wine-making tools, of devices used to counter frost… An area has been reserved for children, with games and appropriate furnishings.

The visit ends with a tasting of the domain’s wines, or grape juice for those who wish to avoid alcohol. Visitors also have the opportunity to buy wine, fine foods, and other regional products at the boutique.
